The Suicidal Christian
ISBN 9-781482-718362
In my book “The Suicidal Christian: the battle is the mind”, I discuss the spirit of depression and how it has affected the life of a young Christian. Depression comes in many forms and can last for a variety of time frames; but this book travels into the thoughts and aspects of a Christian suffering from depression for the length of her life and having to answer the call of the Lord and fight the demons that have haunted her since childhood. I wrote this book in the midst of the Holy Spirit and was able to expose experiences, perspectives, and wounds that have been locked away for almost a lifetime. The Suicidal Christian is something that all of Gods children have dealt with in some way shape or form. Unfortunately, the spirit of depression is not addressed or dealt with properly by the Church and often goes unhealed and unmentioned. I believe that when it comes to the diseases of the mind, the easiest thing to do is tell the person that they are crazy and just lock them away; but as Christians we are obligated to carry all of Gods words to all of his people. On the outside Christians are expected to be sweet smelling and full of joyous attributes, but I have discovered from personal experience that this just is not possible all the time and we are caught in a battle with our own thoughts. The Suicidal Christian shows the tricks of the enemy and the influence this spirit has on every day, kingdom focuses Christians. The book is powerfully transparent in its account of the spirit of depression and suicide while referencing the very word of God through visions and prophecy. The purpose of this book is to enlighten, encourage, and bring awareness of the struggles of the same family members that we fellowship with every Sunday morning. My desire is for this book to reach those who are truly hurting and suffering and allow them to see that the Lord can and will carry them through this darkness of the mind.

"This book is living proof that the way to the cross is not easy. We are not that "perfect" people that people think that we are...This book was a real emotional, true look into the mind of a person battling a private war with one person....herself. I truly enjoyed this book, and was empowered at the same time. It truly hit home for me emotionally to know a person but not know that they were fighting such a battle. Thank the Lord for deliverance for my sister, Marisa Perseverance Mcclinton! "

The Battled Christian, dead at the cross: the journey of the suicidal Woman of God is a compelling continuation of author Marisa McClinton’s first best seller The Suicidal Christian: the Battle is the Mind. This literary journey includes her discovery, her battle, and her victory with depressive disorder and suicidal tendency while walking in the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ and the works of the church. She writes from a firsthand account about the battle with depression and suicide while grooming and growing closer with the Lord. She is a saved and sanctified woman of God who has served on many ministries and has developed a strong sense of awareness to the purpose and works concerning the Lord. This book dives deeper into the topic of depression in the church and the correlation between the mental disorder and demon possession.

Release The Thorns and Embrace the Rose: A guide to letting go is the first book of a five part series on how author Marisa McClinton has journeyed through the valley of oppression and reached the mountaintop of healing and freedom. In this first rendition, Marisa identifies the thorns that are stuck deep within our flesh that block, stunt, and stagnate our purpose and quench our fire for pushing forward into the battle for our souls for the purpose of greatness and excellence. Once the thorns of our stagnation are identified, Marisa dives into great detail on how to open our hearts up to God and allow Him to strengthen us so we can release the thorns that are preventing our wounds from healing completely. This book not only contains a dynamic testimony, but reveals the secrets that God has for His children on the path of becoming full, complete, and totally healed.

Dirt to Destiny, the Delivered Woman: From conditional to purposeful Praise is a coming out literary journey of a young woman who has battled depression, suicide, and the valley of death to walk into the light of the path that God has paved for her. She speaks of a real- life account of her battle with being a Christian and being under the foot of defeat. Through repentance, consecration, and faith; Marisa was able to be reborn into the powerful and purposed woman that God has spoken into existence at the day of her birth. She found her voice and found her purpose through the Lord Jesus Christ, while receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of helping others to walk forward into their light. This shows how God can transform years of hurt and pain into purpose and destiny.
